Vyoma Raman
Doctoral Fellow
Vyoma is a PhD student in Information Science working with Angelina Wang. She studies natural language processing (NLP) with the goal of promoting human rights and preventing injustice. Previously, Vyoma completed her master's in computer science at Stanford University and her bachelor’s in computer science and interdisciplinary studies at UC Berkeley. As a DLI fellow, she intends to study how preference alignment practices can encode and reinforce power asymmetries and develop computational approaches to address this in NLP systems.
